Geraldine the Skiing Centre of the South Island!
Geraldine has access to the most ski-fields of any place in New Zealand. Eight Ski/snow boarding fields within an hour include Mt Hutt, Mt Dobson, Fox Peak and Round hill, sixteen Ski/snow boarding fields within two hours. Stay at Aoraki cottage in Geraldine and take your pick, ski reports available daily at the Geraldine info centre.
Ice Skating at Tekapo
Available till the end of September you can stay at Aoraki cottage in Geraldine and enjoy a relaxing hot "Under the Stars" Spa after skating as the Tekapo rink is just an hour away
Guided tours up the Hooker Valley Mt Cook
